BP Productions - Portfolio

BP Productions has had the privilege to be a part of Outside Lands Music Festival for the past 9 years. Starting in 2008 BP Productions helped with Outside Lands Visual Design team by providing ambiance lighting in different areas through the festival! Each year as the festival grew in size and popularity, so would our tasks. Now in 2017, BP provides lighting and staging for multiple departments and areas around the festival grounds including The Panhandle Stage, The Barbary Tent, and a whole lot of Festival Ambiance.

Outside Lands 2017 - Panhandle Stage

In 2017 BP Productions designed and provided the lighting, as well as our APEX 4240 for the Panhandle Stage at Outside Lands Music Festival. We designed the lighting package for a fast and seamless load in and to give some depth to the lighting rig.

The staging we provided consisted of two wraparound wings for monitor consoles on one side, and room to build out drum kits, keyboards, and guitar rigs on rolling risers on the other. The benefit of the APEX over its competitors is the ability to roll a full 8x8 riser into place through the wind wall door without any obstructions.

With the addition of the MBox Media Server allowed us to pixelmap and create many different looks through the BEye K20 fixtures without countless hours of programming time.

Outside Lands 2016 - The Barbary Tent

In 2016 BP Productions provided the stage and lighting for The Barbary Comedy Tent at Outside Lands Music Festival. The lighting was geared more to LED lighting to aid in power consumption and interchangeable color effects.

Outside Lands 2016 - Ambiance

At Outside Lands 2016, BP Productions provided lighting for multiple areas for festival ambiance lighting. From the backstage compounds and VIP to the Polo Field and many other areas, BP used over 300 LED lighting fixtures to spotlight and add color to the overall festival. There are many elements to cover and it takes almost a week to prepare and install all of the equipment. As the festival is being built we come behind and light the decor right after they are set up, which means we get to see the full transformation of Golden Gate Park into Outside Lands Music Festival.
